U4GM Pokemon TCG Pocket: Why Your First Booster Pack Matters

시간 남은

Picking your first Genetic Apex booster in Pokémon TCG Pocket feels small at first, but it nudges your early deck, your first few upgrades, and even the packs you'll want to chase later. If you're planning a fresh start or comparing options before committing, some players also look at Pokemon TCG Pocket Accounts to get a feel for what a stronger opening collection can look like. For most new players, though, the safest in-game choice is still the Charizard pack, mainly because it gives you a cleaner route into Exeggutor ex and a few useful cards that don't fall off right away.

Why Charizard is still the easy first pick
The Charizard pack isn't only about Charizard ex. That's the funny part. Its real beginner value comes from Exeggutor ex, Erika, Moltres ex, the Greninja line, Sabrina, and even pieces for a budget Blaine-style deck. Exeggutor ex is simple to play, hard to remove early, and doesn't ask you to own half the set before it works. You can start with one copy, then keep opening Charizard packs to hunt a second Exeggutor ex and two Erika. That gives you a proper plan instead of just opening random packs and hoping something sticks.

What to do before spending all your hourglasses
Don't rush every Pack Hourglass into one pack the second you unlock them. Make your first Wonder Pick, clear the beginner missions, and grab the early rewards. The game is fairly generous at the start, so you'll open quite a few boosters quickly. That first burst of packs helps you see what direction your account is taking. If you pull strong pieces from another archetype, it might be worth shifting. If not, staying on a reliable pack is usually better than spreading your pulls too thin.

How the main packs compare right now
Genetic Apex has three choices, but they're not equal for a new account. Charizard has the most practical early path. Pikachu can build toward Pikachu ex and includes Misty, Arcanine ex, and Magneton, yet it's less friendly if you miss key cards. Mewtwo used to be a broad deckbuilding pick, but newer releases have pushed it down. Outside Genetic Apex, the strongest beginner options are usually Extradimensional Crisis, Shining Revelry, and the Dialga pack from Space-Time Smackdown. Extradimensional Crisis supports Buzzwole ex, Guzzlord ex, and Silvally. Shining Revelry is prized for Giratina ex and Red. Dialga brings Darkrai ex, Rampardos, Gallade ex, Lucario, Giant Cape, Pokémon Communication, and Dawn.

Packs worth chasing after your start
The Palkia pack is still useful because Cyrus is one of the best gust-style cards in the game, and it also has Palkia ex, Weavile ex, Manaphy, Infernape ex, and Rocky Helmet. Both Dialga and Palkia packs can give Magnezone, which is excellent for a one-point Pokémon. Celestial Guardians is solid too, since both Solgaleo and Lunala packs contain Rare Candy, a card you'll want for Stage 2 decks. Eevee Grove is mainly attractive for Sylveon ex, Eevee Bag, and Flareon ex. Arceus, Mew, Pikachu, and Mewtwo packs can still be fun, but they're harder to recommend as your first serious investment.

A practical pick for new players
If you're starting today, choose Charizard from Genetic Apex unless you already know you're chasing a newer meta deck. It gives you a sturdy opening, a clear upgrade path, and cards that teach the game without feeling clunky. After that, move toward Extradimensional Crisis, Shining Revelry, or Dialga depending on your pulls. Players who'd rather skip the slow build sometimes compare cheap Pokemon TCG Pocket Accounts with strong early cards already available, but learning why those cards matter will still make you a better pilot.
