THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

If your life is full of lies, your efforts would end in futilities and your future would be fraught with failures.

When your life cycle is circumvented, it is better to tell yourself the truth and be free from brunt.

The worst form of lie is the one you tell yourself. Subsequent lies would not remedy the previous lies, they would compound them and render your life useless.

Morning Prayer

"I waited patiently for the Lord's help; then he listened to me and heard my cry"

We thank You our Lord and our God for Your love, mercy and kindness. We thank You for the opportunity to see this day and serve You through our neighbours. Dear God, may You turn every mockery in our lives to testimony and may we be instruments of praise to You and testimony of Your faithfulness to the world. We pray for strength to believe and wait on the Lord for as many that are despairing now. Be mindful of us and bless us. Gracious and holy Father, please give us intellect to understand You, reason to discern You; diligence to seek You; wisdom to find You; a spirit to know You; a heart to meditate upon You; ears to hear You; eyes to see You; a tongue to proclaim You; a way of life pleasing to You; patience to wait for You; and perseverance to look for You. Grant us: a perfect end, Your Holy presence. A blessed resurrection, and life everlasting. Amen.

Morning Prayer

The Lord is our shelter and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we shall not be afraid, even if the earth is shaken.

Almighty and Ever-living God, we Your children bow down to You in awe and in thanksgiving for Your Divine protection over us and for Your generous provisions for us. Lord, we come back to You. We pray for the grace to always differentiate between kindness and selflessness; between pride and holy determination. We renounce every sin of our life. We return from our life of wasted years. We accept Jesus as our personal Lord and Saviour. Father, revive the spirit of fear of God and self-control in us; Father, forgive us for neglecting to focus on the crown of life every day of our life. Dear Lord, give us the grace to follow You till the end of our life. May your mercy be upon us, O Lord, that we may be kept safe through famine and weakness. Let our hearts rejoice in Your light and trust in the holiness of Thy Name that all our actions may be inspired by the might of Thy power and the strength of Thy Holy Will. May all Christians be conscious of the reward of eternal life which the Christian race has to offer and work towards it. Dear Lord, do not let us be separated from You because of hardship, persecution, hunger, poverty, danger or death. Help us to remain faithful to You in the mighty Name of Jesus. Amen.
