🖊️ *COMMENTARY*
There comes a time in life when one will have the opportunity to assume a new responsibility. This new position could come by promotion, selection or election. Stepping into a higher office is not easy. You have not been there before and somehow you are not sure that you can handle it. In times like this, you need to be strong and courageous. You do not have to be afraid or discouraged. One sure way to be strong and courageous is to know that God is with you as you depend on Him always.

As a believer, you have an advantage of divine assistance. Are you occupying an important position in the Church, in the market place, in a tertiary institution; are you a top government officer, a Chief Executive Officer of a bank or a labour leader? Whatever new assignment you are being entrusted with; you can be sure that God will always be there
to help you.

Wherever you are, whatever you are called to do, the key to your success is to be strong and courageous, to be guided by the word of God, and to cultivate the attitude of seeking the presence of God. This was exactly the Lord's challenge to
Joshua as he prepares to assume the leadership of God's people into the Promised Land.

Praise God!

MICAH 1–7

*COMMENTARY*
Tenacity, or being tenacious, is defined as "being persistent in maintaining, or adhering to, or seeking something valued or desired." This definition aptly fits the attitude of the woman in our text today. That she did not give up even after being "derogatorily" referred to as "dog" shows that she would not mind any insults provided she got a miracle for her daughter. Jesus was just being "theological" and "dispensational" about the situation, teaching that it was the time of the Jews, and not yet the time of the Gentiles, to receive such blessings from God, until after His death and resurrection, but the woman insisted and persisted, with rare tenacity that the protocol was broken and embargo lifted before the time comes.

There is another corresponding lesson from the widow who would not give up until the King attended to her matter (Luke 18:1-8). Therefore, do not give up. God will surely reward your tenacity with healing, fruit of the womb, employment, marriage, promotion, etc. This is the time of the Gentiles. You are entitled to the bread of the children and not the crumbs that fall under the table. You are no longer a dog, but a child of God, and joint heir with Christ. No protocol or embargo can hinder you from getting whatever you want from God as His child by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

Face Your Sins:
How many of us are without sins? No one. But don’t you ever believe the enemy’s lie that because everyone sins there is absolutely nothing wrong with your wild emotions and raw behaviour and thus there is no need to change. For we will all come before God and be held accountable for our deeds, and on that day can we confidently say what the Psalmist said? (Psalm 8)
Prayer: Lord, sorry that I have taken comfort in the flaws of humanity and try to justify my wrong behaviour. I thank you that Jesus’ redemptive work at the cross cancels out my sins and makes me a new person in Christ. Help me to face my own sins squarely and give me the resolve to make amends with Your help. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

🖊️ *COMMENTARY*
There is a huge relationship between faith and audacity, based on the definition of the two words. Faith remains biblically as "the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Audacity is defined as "intrepid boldness"; bold or fearless disregard of normal restraints."

Audacious faith does not fear being ridiculed should a pronouncement fail to come to pass, yet, it must surely come to pass if God was behind it, as in the case of Elijah stopping the rain for three and a half years, and causing it to rain again (1Kings 17; 18; James 5). Audacious faith made Peter and John to perform their first miracle of healing the lame man at the Beautiful Gate (Acts 3). They dared to command the lame man to stand up.

Audacious faith names children and buys clothes for them before they come. It fixes a date and buys items for marriage before the partner emerges. Audacious faith speaks against obstacles, unfavourable and undesirable situations like the river Jordan, believing that they will disappear for a person to enter into fulfillment. Skeptics will be confounded, amazed, astonished and mesmerized by your uncommon testimonies as a result of your audacious faith in God's power to do uncommon things.

Faith and audacity are related, and without these two, no one can perform or receive amazing miracles.
