I’m In Pain, Lord:
Psalm 137 expresses the pain felt by the Israelites during their exile in Babylon. To their way of thinking, to be taken away from Jerusalem meant they had been separated from God, who was thought to dwell there in a special sense. How can we sing the songs of the Lord while in a foreign land? - (verse 4). But they knew this was a time for repentance, a time for songs of lament. When God disciplines us it is normal to feel that God has abandoned us. But His word affirms us, “the Lord disciplines the ones he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives” (Heb. 12: 6). As His children under His watch even when we go through discipline and chastisement we can be rest assured that His favourable hand not only will continue to shape us but will also provide and care for us.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank you that even when I go through some challenging moments in life I can be rest assured of your promise that you will never leave me and that you will continue to uphold me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

What Are You Doing Here, Friend?
When people ask you, or when you ask yourself “What are you doing here?" Usually, either people don’t know or follow what you are doing, or you feel discouraged or lost your purpose of what you are doing in your life. But when God asks you this question, God knows the answer. He knows you are discouraged in your life, or relationship, or work, or ministry. He wants to encourage you and He wants to hear your expression and release your emotional burden and feeling to Him. He will deliver you liked He did Elijah.
Prayer: Jesus Lord, I pray that you would release our brothers and sisters from any fear and memory of the past that has power to control them. Deliver them from their problems and the plans of the enemy. Pray your presence is with them and restore what has been stolen by the enemy. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

Praise … Again … And Again:
In this short psalm the words "Hallelu Yah!" (praise the Lord) are repeated ten times. The psalmist is making his point loud and clear. Just do it - Praise the Lord! But why do we need telling? Shouldn’t praise come easy? The problem is that in order to praise the Lord we have to deduct the pride, ambition, self-centeredness that we are so attached to. Maybe we really do need this reminder.
Prayer: Father God, I praise your holy name today. You are great; your wisdom is beyond the stars; your love beyond comprehension; Your power has no equal. Hallelujah ... hallelujah ... hallelujah. Take away whatever stands between me and praise today. Make this day a day of PRAISE! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Now I Know You Are Christian:
Jesus, our God is love. Jesus is a healer. Jesus is a comforter, Jesus is a mediator to our Heavenly Father. We are called to be His disciples. Do our friends, colleagues, clients, and family around us know that we are Christian? What do we need to do to have people around us say “Now I know you are Christian?” Let's live a life in His truth and love. Prayer: Jesus Lord, thank you for being an example for us to follow. You did what the Father said. Help us to do what you said and what you did and to live out the transformed life you gave us. In your name I pray, Amen.

God Is Faithful:
God had promised that punishment would follow disobedience, and God did. But God is faithful, He does not want people to perish. When we do wrong, He promises a way out. If you obey God. He promises to bless you and protect your children. He showed his punishment to King David's children when they did wrong. God always remembers David's obedience and goodness.
Prayer: Father Lord, I pray your hand of protection to be upon us and our generations. Thank you for your faithfulness. Protect us and our children from the plans of wicked people and help us to walk in truth. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
