Since ft may be used to mean various things under different circumstances, it may be confusing at times. As an example, FR in gaming circles could mean Face Reveal and in general texting, it could be said to be For Real. Children would misinterpret messages or use the word wrongly. One of the things that parents can do is to make children ask questions when they are not sure about the meaning of the slang and use appropriate words depending on the context. This will encourage more secure and effective communication on the internet and minimize the digital misinterpretations.
