I've been getting really into specialty coffee lately and invested in a decent grinder and pour-over setup. I'm curious what beans everyone recommends - do you prefer light roasts for brightness or darker roasts for that bold flavor? I've tried a few local roasters but I'm wondering if mail-ordering from places like Counter Culture or Blue Bottle is really worth the premium price, or if I'm just paying for hype?
