🚨 #breakingnews Pi Network Encourages Community to Prepare for Mainnet Launch

Pi Network has been actively engaging its community to prepare for the upcoming mainnet launch, expected to occur in the first quarter of 2025, specifically in February or March.

In a recent social media post, the Pi Core Team reminded all users of steps they can take to support the launch. As the open mainnet nears, different ecosystem members can contribute to its successful rollout.

This launch marks a significant transition for the network from the testnet phase to a fully decentralized blockchain environment, enabling users to trade and utilize their mined Pi coins in real-world transactions.

The announcement urges “Pioneers,” the network users, to prioritize completing all necessary migration steps, including the Know Your Customer (KYC) verification process, to facilitate their transition to the Mainnet.

KYC Deadline and Mainnet Launch Timeline
The current deadline for KYC is January 31, 2025, with the mainnet launch planned for Q1 2025. The Core Team has emphasized the importance of Pioneers encouraging their downline networks to complete the migration process as well.

For Merchants and Developers
For merchants, the focus is on integration. The Pi Core Team encourages businesses to explore and implement ways to accept Pi as a payment method. Pi coins can be utilized in both physical and digital marketplaces.

To date, the Core Team has approved 20 applications to launch on the mainnet. Developers are encouraged to finalize any remaining work on their decentralized applications (dApps) and prepare for deployment on the mainnet.

Migration and KYC Verification Progress
One of the critical steps for users, known as “Pioneers,” is completing the KYC verification process. The Pi Core Team has set a deadline of January 31, 2025, for this process. Completing KYC is essential for Pioneers to migrate their tokens from the testnet to the open mainnet.

Currently, over 9 million Pioneers have successfully migrated their tokens, but the team has stated that at least 10 million users need to complete the migration before the mainnet launch can proceed.
