Images released by North Korea's official KCTV show the country's leader Kim Jong Un attending a massive military parade, together with top officials from Russia, China and Vietnam, to mark the 80th anniversary of the ruling party.

The event to mark 80 years under the Workers' Party comes as leader Kim Jong Un has been emboldened by the war in Ukraine, securing critical support from Russia after sending thousands of North Korean troops to fight alongside Moscow's forces.
