Speech for My Fellow Igbo Muslims

Assalamu Alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh, my dear Igbo Muslim brothers and sisters across the world.

Today, I stand before you with a heart full of gratitude — gratitude to Allah, who has guided us to Islam, and pride in our Igbo identity. We are a people of strength, wisdom, and hard work. We are Ndi Igbo — known for our courage and unity. And we are Muslims — guided by the light of the Qur’an and the teachings of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

Many people may not understand us — an Igbo and a Muslim — but we understand who we are. We know that Islam is not about tribe or color. It is about submission to Allah, kindness to humanity, and standing firm in truth.

Let us continue to love one another as brothers and sisters. Let us support each other in business, in education, and in faith. Let our homes shine with peace, and let our hearts remain humble in the remembrance of Allah.

To my brothers — be proud of your faith and lead with good character.
To my sisters — wear your hijab with honor and confidence. You are a symbol of dignity and strength.

Together, we can build a strong community — Igbo by culture, Muslim by faith, united by purpose. May Allah bless every Igbo Muslim family, strengthen our bond, and make us a light of Islam in every corner of the world.

Jazakum Allahu Khairan. May peace and blessings be upon you all.
