Here’s why Chris Brown keeps telling Keyshia Cole, No.
Keyshia Cole has spent nearly two decades in the music industry, but she recently revealed that not every artist has been eager to work with her.
According to Keyshia, one of her dream collaborations was with Mary J. Blige. After asking multiple times, she says Mary eventually let her know she wasn’t interested in recording a song together.
But that’s not the only rejection she faced.
Keyshia also revealed that she approached Chris Brown about doing a duet on four separate occasions — and says he turned her down every time.
Despite that, Keyshia insists there is no bad blood.
According to the singer, Chris simply felt she should try something different musically and encouraged her to step outside of her comfort zone.
Now fans are debating whether artists owe their peers collaborations, or if everyone has the right to protect their brand and creative vision.
What do y’all think — were Mary J. Blige and Chris Brown wrong for passing, or should Keyshia Cole move on? #elf #cameroon
